This course is designed for children age 9-12 (8 year-olds can attend if a sibling is attending) and will provide your child with vital safety skills while building their belief in themselves.  The kids will finish the course equipped with practical skills and confidence which empowers them to identify potential risks while remaining calm and taking decisive action. They will practice using their voices effectively, learning how to call for assistance loudly and clearly to attract attention and deter potential threats. They will learn how to deal with  emergency situations including taking part in 911 practice drills. With this structured, age-appropriate session, kids participate in fun yet purposeful exercises where they will also learn physical techniques including awareness and anti-abduction techniques.

Additionally, as an added bonus for this event, children in attendance will complete the Home Alone Program.  This program will prepare them provide them with skills required to be in the Home without the direct supervision of an adult.  This is a vital course for all children as they move to the age of independence.

Each child participant will require a ticket.  Parents in attendance do not require a ticket.

THIS IS A TOWN OF CARSTAIRS SPONSORED EVENT.  TICKETS FOR THE EVENT ARE $5.00 AND CAN BE PURCHASED THROUGH THE TOWN WEBSITE USING THE BUTTON BELOW.  PARTICIPANTS DO NOT NEED TO BE RESIDENTS OF CARSTAIRS TO ATTEND.
