RHINO's Teen Safe Program teaches teens to think for themselves, avoid peer pressure, and recognize when a situation is becoming dangerous. We understand Teens today are more concerned with their image than their safety and through our interactive training we aim to help them shift this mindset.
Empowering
Teens need to understand that their lives have value. We help them to understand and recognize this as they move through our fun and interactive program.
Usable Skills
We dispel safety myths and provide skills that Teens can immediately use to make better decisions. Not all self-defense is about physically protecting yourself.
Reality Based
To a Teen, seeing is believing. Our reality based scenarios allow them to use the skills and gain confidence in their new abilities.

Most teens are often naive to real world violence and danger. They are now entering the age where there is a significant increase in the risk of victimization. And, as with most people, they have little or no personal safety or REAL self-defense training.
Teens need training so they won't succumb to peer pressure and so they can understand the dangers of making decisions based on "group" acceptance rather than the actual best course of action. As parents, we always strive to ensure they are safe and the RHINO Teen Safe program is the next step to continuing this practice!
What will they learn?
The Teen Safe program builds confidence and self-esteem in your teen through a variety of lessons and progressional learning to overcome personal barriers.
We will teach them:
- Situational awareness
- Setting and enforcing personal boundaries
- How to say NO without making excuses
- How to create and maintain space from uncomfortable or dangerous situations
- The power of their voice
- The dangers of over reliance on a cell phone, artificial intelligence, and social media
- How to avoid becoming a victim
Finally, we teach physical self-defense skills for those rare occasions when doing all the right things was just not enough!
